The desire for this project was to highlight the riches of the place, while bringing a new contemporary impetus to the layout of the spaces.

The Vezelay project aimed to renovate and also redevelop the spaces of a Haussmann-style apartment. The decision was to restore and highlight the richness of the existing heritage, its cornices, its picture rails, its woodwork, its stained-glass windows, and even its Hungarian Point parquet floors (parquet Point de Hongrie).
However, in order to mark the contemporary impact of the project on past architecture, the structural elements were left visible; creating a contrast between the period moldings and the bolted metal plates. This redevelopment made it possible to create a double living room. Also, the kitchen — opening onto the dining room — was seen in contrast with the other spaces. The white facades, walls, ceiling and floor create an immaculate box that is disrupted and magnified by the green granite elements. The central island, like a monolith, induces the circulation of the kitchen.
This idea of a monolith is found in the master bedroom with the wooden joinery, used to divide the dressing area and the sleeping area.
