Tenuta di Artimino, member of Meliá Collection and luxury destination in the heart of the most authentic Tuscany, inaugurates this year the renovated rooms and common areas with an eclectic country chic interior concept signed by A.m.C. and Studio Atelier P. The estate is an oasis of peace of over 730 hectares immersed in nature, culture and history, a magical place at the gates of Chianti, where time has stopped and where the unspoiled landscape is enveloped in peace and silence.
The intervention resulting from the collaboration between Alessandro Mario Cesario and Studio AtelierP, is characterized by the discreet elegance of the historic hunting estate that belonged to the De' Medici family for centuries. The sophisticated combination of colours, textures, refined images and great charm gives new life to this glimpse of history in the sublime Tuscan countryside. Inside the rooms of the hotel and the apartments of the Borgo, as well as the spacious Fagianaie, soft textures played on printed velvets are revealed, which make the decisive touch of a refined graphic presence for seats and curtains stand out even more. The classic elements give the right balance to the creative license used in the choice of paintings, objects and furnishing details which, following careful research, have been selected and masterfully coordinated. Architects and Interior Designers have worked hand in hand to maintain and transmit the flavor of the Tuscan countryside reinterpreted with the eclectic and chic flavor that belongs to the style of the designers. Original patterns and fabrics, hatbox lamps, jacquard-weave curtains, thematic images and lithographs inhabit the rooms of the Estate and recall past eras and suggestions. That of the duo A.m.C. and Atelier P is a new maximalism, capable of dealing with excessive formalism and creating micro-universes alien to time and space.
In the suites, the space is transformed with the use of the minimal metal structures of the wardrobes, finished with decorative curtains and enriched with brass knobs, thus creating new volumes and perspectives that create alcoves with an exotic reference. Transformable sofas are thus integrated into other wings: sofas which, as a "buen ritiro" for reading and relaxing, can welcome new guests if necessary.
The Artimino Red returns to be the protagonist: it dresses entire walls, traces the profiles of rooms, bosses and doors, enhances the mouldings, highlights and decorates the irregularity of the surfaces. In line with the concept, the high and quilted headboards highlight the country chic fabric that decorates curtains, benches and armchairs, skilfully combined with original furnishings such as chests of drawers and desks which, with the new red Verona marble tops, regain charm and elegance, combined to the custom bedside tables that recall the tray holders in the field. The same fabric, in different colours, gives order to the Style, Singular and Singular Extra rooms. In the apartments of the Borgo, as well as in the Fagianaie, the jaguard-print green velvet is the master for a total immersion in the country spirit of the estate. The latter more than others, undergo the maximalist style of their interpreters, who make them real hunting cabins and enrich them with details, fabrics and evocative images. The apartments rediscover the face of tradition and the territory, and are enriched with vintage and new furnishings. Fabrics, armchairs and velvet sofas marry the Tuscan hills and the ancient soul of the village, which comes to life in the reminiscences of a place that does not know the passage of time.
The color palette, dominated by the warm tones of raw earth and exotic nuances that light up in contrasts, is faithful to the leitmotif that accompanies the rooms together with the "Artimino red". The path created leads the traveler, as well as the modern globe trotter, to enjoy a classic but at the same time original, comfortable and functional environment, where to discover or rediscover the undisputed charm of a majestic Medici estate.
