The client for this restaurant wanted a concept that promotes a healthy lifestyle, advocating locally sourced, organic ingredients to produce quality, salad-based meals.

The design inspiration comes from rural farmscapes. While farms are traditionally wide open, expansive areas, they are also enclosed by boundary fencing. The paradox this creates represents both spaciousness and privacy.

We studied the many fencing designs, along with other textures and patterns that are commonly found on farms, abstraced these patterns and used them to inform the dining area, defining boundaries and creating a series of spaces that are at once private yet part of an expansive whole.
