The “Casa Ópera” is a single-family house located in a residential neighborhood of Zaragoza. In this home, the protagonist is concrete, which serves as its structure, enclosure and finish. It is a unique structure made up of a roof that opens towards the main garden and is supported by the end walls that make up the house. To convey this idea, the distinction between perimeter walls and roof has been emphasized using a fluted formwork for the former and a phenolic one for the upper crust. In this way, the opening of all rooms towards the garden spaces is allowed. In addition, the house has a lower floor with 3 rooms which are illuminated through a more intimate patio with vegetation.
