Sustainability Meets Tradition: An Ecological Single-Family House in Kastelruth Focusing on Long-Term Value

Nestled within the picturesque rural setting of Kastelruth in South Tyrol stands an architectural gem that not only meets the immediate needs of a young family but also places a strong emphasis on conscious, long-term construction. This exceptional structure was designed by Andreas Gruber Architects from Schabs.

Inspired by historically significant architectural styles of the region, this single-family house not only sets new standards in ecological construction but also prioritizes its enduring value and landscape integration. Collaborating with the residents of the adjacent farmstead, the ideal building site was identified, minimizing landscape disturbance while ensuring high living quality and excellent accessibility.

Comprising two stories, the construction of this house focused on utilizing high-quality materials. The base, made of mineral washed concrete, promises not only stability but also long-lasting resistance against elements and weather influences. The entire timber construction originates from the estate's woodland, offering both natural beauty and a premium ambiance.

The exterior walls, crafted from solid spruce wood, incorporate a specially milled air chamber system, providing remarkable insulation values and air tightness. This innovative construction, developed by a South Tyrolean company, already meets the Climate House Standard A, promising longevity without the need for additional insulation. The roof and floor were executed using the same system toward the foundation plate. The choice of roofing with traditional tiles and surrounding drip edge protects the building from weathering.

The heating system, controlled by a central storage furnace connected to underfloor heating, not only delivers comfortable warmth but is also designed for long-term reliability. Firewood from the estate's forests serves as the primary fuel source. Additionally, solar panels were incorporated to support hot water preparation. The generous glazing of the interior creates a harmonious connection with the south-facing terrace, offering a breathtaking view of the Schlern.

The adept integration of excavated rock serves not only aesthetic purposes but also ensures a robust structure promising long-term use and stability.

Overall, this ecological single-family house surpasses the immediate needs of a young family by presenting a sustainable and enduring solution. The successful combination of traditional building materials and modern ecological technologies by Andreas Gruber Architects sets new benchmarks in terms of comfort and supports environmental conservation.

Nachhaltigkeit trifft Tradition: Ein ökologisches Einfamilienhaus in Kastelruth mit Blick auf Langzeitwert

Inmitten der malerischen ländlichen Umgebung von Kastelruth in Südtirol thront ein architektonisches Juwel, das nicht nur den aktuellen Bedarf einer jungen Familie erfüllt, sondern auch ein langfristiges Denken auf bewusstes Bauen in den Mittelpunkt stellt. Das besondere Bauwerk wurde von Andreas Gruber Architekten aus Schabs konzipiert.

Dieses Einfamilienhaus, inspiriert von historisch prägenden Baustilen der Umgebung, setzt nicht nur neue Maßstäbe im ökologischen Bauen, sondern legt auch einen starken Fokus auf seine dauerhafte Wertbeständigkeit und landschaftliche Integrität. Gemeinsam mit den Bewohnern der angrenzenden Hofstelle wurde der ideale Bauplatz ermittelt, bei dem der landschaftliche Eingriff am Geringsten und gleichermaßen einer hohe Wohnqualität und gute Erschließbarkeit des Bauwerkes möglich erschien.

Bestehend aus zwei Stockwerke konzentrierte sich der Bau dieses Hauses auf die Verwendung hochwertiger Materialien. Der Sockel aus mineralischem, gewaschenem Stahlbeton verspricht nicht nur Stabilität, sondern auch eine langanhaltende Widerstandsfähigkeit gegenüber den Elementen und Witterungseinflüsse. Der gesamte Holzbau stammt aus dem hofeigenen Wald und bietet neben der natürlichen Schönheit ein hochwertiges Ambiente.

Die Außenwände bestehen aus massivem Fichtenholz und nutzen ein spezielles eingefrästes Luftkammernsystem für bemerkenswerte Dämmwerte und Luftdichtheit. Diese innovative Konstruktion, entwickelt von einem Südtiroler Unternehmen, erfüllt bereits den Klimahausstandard A und verspricht eine Langlebigkeit ohne den Bedarf an zusätzlicher Wärmedämmung. Nach demselben System wurde auch das Dach und der Boden in Richtung der Fundamentplatte ausgeführt. Die Wahl der Dacheindeckung mit traditionellen Ziegeln und einem umlaufenden Tropfblech schützt das Gebäude vor Witterung.

Das Heizsystem, gesteuert durch einen zentralen Speicherofen und verbunden mit einer Fußbodenheizung, bietet nicht nur angenehme Wärme, sondern ist auch auf langfristige Zuverlässigkeit ausgelegt. Als Brennmaterial wird Stückholz aus den eigenen Wäldern verwendet. Unterstützend wurden auch Sonnenkollektoren für die Warmwasseraufbereitung eingeplant. Die großzügige Verglasung des Innenraums schafft eine harmonische Verbindung zur nach Süden ausgerichteten Terrasse, die einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Schlern bietet.

Die geschickte Integration des Felsaushubs diente nicht nur ästhetischen Zwecken, sondern auch dazu, eine solide Struktur zu schaffen, die eine langfristige Nutzung und Stabilität verspricht.

Insgesamt geht dieses ökologische Einfamilienhaus über die aktuellen Bedürfnisse einer jungen Familie hinaus, indem es eine nachhaltige und langfristig wertbeständige Lösung präsentiert. Immerso nella pittoresca campagna di Kastelruth in Alto Adige sorge un gioiello architettonico che non solo soddisfa le esigenze immediate di una giovane famiglia, ma pone anche un forte accento sulla costruzione consapevole a lungo termine. Questa straordinaria struttura è stata progettata dagli Architetti Andreas Gruber di Schabs.

Ispirata a stili architettonici storicamente significativi della regione, questa casa monofamiliare non solo stabilisce nuovi standard nella costruzione ecologica, ma mette anche in primo piano il suo valore duraturo e l'integrazione paesaggistica. Collaborando con i residenti del podere adiacente, è stato individuato il sito di costruzione ideale, minimizzando il disturbo del paesaggio garantendo nel contempo elevata qualità abitativa ed eccellente accessibilità.

Composta da due piani, la costruzione di questa casa si è concentrata sull'utilizzo di materiali di alta qualità. La base, realizzata in calcestruzzo lavato minerale, promette non solo stabilità, ma anche una resistenza duratura agli elementi e alle influenze atmosferiche. L'intera struttura in legno proviene dal bosco della tenuta, offrendo sia bellezza naturale che un'atmosfera di alta qualità.

Le pareti esterne, realizzate in abete massiccio, incorporano un sistema di camere d'aria appositamente fresate, offrendo notevoli valori di isolamento e tenuta dell'aria. Questa costruzione innovativa, sviluppata da un'azienda sudtirolese, già soddisfa lo standard Casa Clima A, promettendo longevità senza la necessità di ulteriori isolamenti. Anche il tetto e il pavimento sono stati realizzati utilizzando lo stesso sistema verso la piastra di fondazione. La scelta della copertura con tegole tradizionali e un bordo perimetrale protegge l'edificio dall'usura atmosferica.

Il sistema di riscaldamento, controllato da una caldaia a accumulo centrale collegata al riscaldamento a pavimento, non solo garantisce un calore confortevole ma è anche progettato per una affidabilità a lungo termine. La legna proveniente dai boschi della tenuta è la fonte primaria di combustibile. Inoltre, sono stati incorporati pannelli solari per supportare la preparazione dell'acqua calda. L'ampia vetratura degli interni crea un legame armonioso con la terrazza rivolta a sud, che offre una vista mozzafiato sullo Sciliar.

L'abile integrazione della roccia escavata non serve solo a scopi estetici, ma assicura anche una struttura robusta promettendo un utilizzo e una stabilità a lungo termine.

Nel complesso, questa casa ecologica monofamiliare supera le esigenze immediate di una giovane famiglia presentando una soluzione sostenibile e duratura.
