Above a warehouse conversion is an apartment made from four self-supporting, brick catenary vaults offset from each other to allow light into the unique space. The design development of this project was done in close collaboration with a university, specialist consultants and the contractor. The team worked together to refine the structural system which enabled walls and roof to be built and experienced as one.
With an outlook to an industrial part of Sydney, the focus is on the interior architecture featuring gradations of light bouncing off finely crafted brickwork.
Most of the furniture and many fixtures and fittings have been custom built for the space in a
complementary industrial style.
