Kurokawa Camp is a spiritual experience for a client who, after 8 years of practicing yoga, decided to dedicate himself to something more.

«Kurokawa» — a retreat and yoga location+ a hotel in a capsule style. We reflected Japanese character, having also adapted it to the Ukrainian ethnic base. Architecture highlights naturalness: terrace planks, rails, ease, slate roofing.

The entrance to the building borders with a meditative stone garden which is traversed by a stream. Flowing water- a source of relaxation, energy circulation and balance in the midst of a bustling world.

The concept of the camp is centered around sento. Sento- a Japanese variation of a sauna which is visited by the whole family. In our case it also serves as a reference point to the culture of vats in Western Ukraine. We located sento near sliding windows, in such a way as if brought a guest in hot water outside, beyond the borders of the room.

The sound of water, stones, wood. Needles, needles, silence. Energy, flow, symbiosis. Everything in life is energy, the only question is with which sign.

Symbiosis of cultures at Kurokawa Camp.
