White Vessel is a refuge center designed for CHIRLA. In this project, the two distinctively shaped atria serve both structural and circulation functions. They connect and distinguish the first and third floors, which function as two horizontal bays. Additionally, a void on the second floor creates a spacious waiting area. A portion of the second floor is enclosed, offering both indoor and outdoor lounge spaces. Various circulation elements, such as hanging stairs attached to the façade, an escalator linking indoor to outdoor spaces, and spiral ramps weaving through or between the two atria, offer multiple pathways for navigating and experiencing the space.
