In developing urban areas with high construction density, lack of natural light in tube houses makes the space stuffy and lacking connection.

De Chill House which is for a three-generation family, is optimal functionality and promoting the "connection" between nature and people. Architect creates three “breathing” spaces in the front, back and middle of the house. Void through the vertical axis makes spaces to be in direct contact with natural light and ventilation. The skylight in the middle connects the common spaces with the living spaces above. In addition to providing natural light and air convection, green spaces are seamlessly combined with other functions, creating a connection between nature and daily activities. Thus it provides a friendly and comfortable living environment for children to exercise, study and observe the surrounding nature.

In addition to the gardens, balconies are arranged alternately. Ending point of journey on the 3rd floor is a large courtyard as an extension of the interior space, where private life connects with exterior space. Here, the whole family can take care of the garden together, connect and interact with friends every weekend. Garden, porch, buffer space combined with chrysanthemum curtains also help solve the problem of heat radiation, hot dry West wind and limit rain. The interior spaces still have airy views and are filled with greenery.

De Chill House has the beauty of simplicity, combining minimalist and balanced architectural style. Natural element is an essential point to create a unique architectural space but still simple and rustic, which brings a sense of peace when living in a house filled with sunlight and greenery.
