Casa San Ángel | Miguel Concha arquitectura

Casa San Ángel is a housing project located on a property in Queretaro, rectangular in plan, with a few meters in front that coexists with a purely urban environment that fades until it is lost in its interior. It contains a complex program in terms of respect for simplicity in plan and shares the site with several large trees, a black sapodilla that stands out from a respected topography.
To visualize the project these are the important elements when imagining the project:
The connection of the interior with the patio at the same time as the project, to generate a free and continuous plan but at the same time functional.
The objective of providing the entire house with light and natural ventilation, which is why the project is mostly developed in the center of the plot. The result is that the patio provides light to every space in the house.
on the green mosaic that covers the interior floor of the house, generating the route to the central patio; Thanks to the long sliding window that communicates the main area of the house, it stays open until late thanks to the climate of the City of Querétaro, allowing living room, dining room and kitchen in a totally united way, controlling the constant change of spatiality. that offers the window and that gives towards the source.
The house covers even the adjoining areas painted in blue that blend in with the tone of the sky. The concrete gives it the simplicity that allows the vertical lines of clay panel tiles placed one by one to give an order, which is broken with the colors and shapes of both the plants and the decoration.
Colado, Trazo and Mai –the pets-, rest at ease in the large gray armchair. In that, the sound of the neighboring cats, they rush up the concrete staircase, cross the semicircular arch where a small study and a library are located, advancing through the corridors, the terrace and other corridors, until completing a turn complete throughout the house.
