The process of creating the interior for the Slava U restaurant was filled with challenges. The establishment is located in the historic center of Kyiv, and the space itself featured beautiful old brick walls that we uncovered and restored to their original beauty. We removed old paint, repaired parts of the plasterwork, and concealed unsightly utilities that were visible in open niches.

The existing interior of the space harmoniously aligned with our eclectic concept. In addition to the antique brick, stylish black metal cladding adorned the walls and windows, while a robust wooden ceiling added to the overall aesthetic. Building upon this strong foundational composition, we focused on creating comfort and an emotionally engaging atmosphere. We designed furniture, lighting, and decorative elements in cozy nude tones.

For lighting, we opted for various types of fixtures. The simplest ones were minimalist glass shades suspended from leather cords. Additionally, we commissioned two unique fixtures crafted by Ukrainian artisans based on our designs: one adorned with plants and the other featuring delicate wooden planks radiating in a circular pattern. The decorative structure of these fixtures echoes that found in the furniture, creating a cohesive and integrated interior design.

We carefully selected comfortable and spacious sofas in a warm leather color, accentuating them with leather straps on the pillows to add charm. The sofas, tables, bar stools, and other furniture pieces were all created based on our designs.

A key focal point in the space is the bar in the second hall. We worked on its unconventional shape, added a touch of magic through lighting, and completed the composition with a majestic "crown" made of wooden planks. The simplicity and even slight ruggedness of the bar achieved through the generous use of metal, harmoniously combine with the elegance of the decorative wooden elements. We also incorporated dark mirrors, which double as shelves for beverages and creatively stylize the reflected objects.

In line with the restaurant's naming, we added Ukrainian motifs but with a minimalist approach, adhering to the concept of a modern interior. A crucial detail is the black Ukrainian ornament on the wall in the main hall, arranged in composition with the establishment's logo. We carefully placed each cross on a transparent backing, ensuring that the ornament would lie evenly without damaging the brick.
