Shadowbox is a new 2 residence located in Miami Beach, Florida. The new 3,600 SF 2 story home is located on a narrow and deep lot close to the waters’ edge. The ground floor features a side entrance 2 car garage with an oversized roof terrace facing the bay on top.
The storefront glass tower entry feature is pulled back into the site to draw the eye into the property. Floating concrete stairs lead to the front door.
Upon entering, an elevated foyer slab opens into the formal living and dining area. A stair splits the family room and kitchen, leading to the full width sliding doors that open onto the covered patio and elevated pool.
The open concept kitchen connects under the stair to the dining area and features a small pantry. The kitchen islands opens into the family room. A full glass view connects the inside and outside and allows for the spaces to blend into each other. The outside patio area is partly covered by the master balcony above and highlights the infinity edge pool that is elevated from the ground to comply with FEMA flood criteria.
The design incorporated multiple bay windows, used for dimension and extra space for the bedrooms and select living spaces.
