For the refurbishment of the building in rua da Prata, intended to take an hotel unit with an apartment logistics, it was essential to recover the integrity and character of the original sketch, contributing to the preservation of Baixa Pombalina’s historical ensemble.


This interventional principle’s highlight, especially, the recovery of large spans in the store floor, to which it was recovered the metric and design of the pre-existing elevation.


In terms of distribution, the building is divided in one wide store space (that extends into two basement floors), and one independent entrance from rua de Santa Justa, where access is made to a Lobby of the hotel unity. On the upper levels was embodied the “apartment units” concept (3 per floor), totalling 14 units.
