Kakheti is the Burgundy of Georgia, the many wineries and places to enjoy the delicious local food make this a perfect place for gourmand travellers.
The primary challenge for the project is to remain respectful toward the natural environment without losing its architectural character.
The resort is designed as an addition of connected small-scale buildings. This proximity generates a series of meandering and intimate spaces, an encompassed and dense urban fabric. The architecture of the local villages inspires the mass of the buildings and their skyline.
Despite its density and thanks to the conscientious treatment of the different levels of the structure, each guest room maintains a free and unobstructed view of the beautiful surroundings.
The building fabric design includes a limited stone, timber, and glass palette.
The hotel features 50 rooms, a conference and banqueting room, a restaurant with a vast terrace overlooking the valley, a gym, a spa and an indoor swimming pool.
A sequence of dispersed pavilions punctuates the garden area west of the site, where the land slopes toward the valley
