Interior design of Dongye Pengjin Kechuang | LYCS Architecture

LYCS Architecture designed the office space of the Dongye Pengjin Science and Technology Building for Hangzhou Dongye Holding Group, a leading office space operator in China. The project, with an area of approximately 2,665 square meters, is located near Shanxian Station in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, and contains public spaces and three office showrooms. The relaxed and stylish office space stands out from the crowd of traditional monotonous office buildings in the surrounding area. In recent years, the vacancy rate of office buildings in first- and second-tier cities in China has remained high. Quality office space is hard to find, so how to seek differentiation among homogeneity has become the number one problem for every office space service provider. Based on its keen insight into the market, East Industry & LYCS Architecture provides differentiated office leasing services for small and medium-sized companies, such as live broadcast, design and finance, with high requirements for office space quality and privacy.

The sublimation of butterflies
The project takes the concept of "cocoon into butterfly", and the lobby space is designed in the shape of cocoon. In contrast, each sample space represents various kinds of butterflies hatching out, metaphorically providing a more suitable soil for more small and micro enterprises to survive. The organic and smooth cocoon brings vitality and creativity, the mirror glass makes the space transparent and open, the entrance space is refreshing for the visiting clients, and a good first impression is a big boost to promote cooperation. As an important and relatively low-frequency use scene, the reception space is shared as the most cost-effective choice for SMEs. The interior of the cocoon contains reception and vertical traffic. Visitors go up the revolving staircase, while the second floor includes an open water bar, finance room, negotiation room, multi-functional room, etc. A variety of public spaces provide intimate services for SMEs.

Personalized sample spaces
The project has three different office model rooms tailored to the target customer group, each equipped with an independent external front door, independent meeting room and independent president's office, small in scale but no less in quality. The "Cool White Punk," with an area of 105 square meters, is suitable for enterprises with less than 20 employees and focuses on the ultimate use of space. The "Creative Blind Box" is 105 square meters, suitable for small and beautiful private studios with a sufficient budget. Many wood finishes bring a soft and peaceful atmosphere to the space, showing the studio's unique style. "Urban Oasis," with an area of 210 square meters, is a green and natural office environment that is an oasis of urban life, creating a unique office collaboration space for the targeted creative people.
