DESIGN - Concorso "Design your tile" competition | Antonio Aurigemma

Concorso "Design your tile" della Mirage. Si chiede ai partecipanti di esprimersi sulla sostenibilità con qualsiasi tecnica sopra una mattonella di grés 30x60 cm. Il risultato sono lavori molto interessanti. Io e Marta proponiamo i nostri, separati, con idee diverse ma con piccoli aiutini l'uno all'altro. Eccoli.

"Design your tile" competition by Mirage. Participants are asked to express themselves on sustainability with any technique over a 30x60 cm grés tile. The results are very interesting works. We realize 2 different works, with a little help each other. Here they are.

La linea di confine...
... quella del deserto che avanza, che in Africa e in Cina contrastano piantando alberi per guadagnare spazi vivibili e coltivabili per le popolazioni;
... quella dei nostri limiti interiori, della nostra difficoltà a cambiare stile di vita, attaccati ad abitudini dannose per noi e per l'ambiente;
... quella del limite geografico e politico dietro cui ci arrocchiamo, senza renderci conto che quel confine non ha senso, non è reale, è solo una linea disegnata sulla carta da una società in involuzione, e se non siamo pronti a uscirne, a superarla, ad attraversarla e a farla attraversare da altri abbattendo i nostri confini, siamo destinati a scomparire nel buco nero che ci stiamo creando intorno.
Studi scientifici dimostrano che piantando alberi, milioni di alberi, si possono contrastare gli effetti del cambiamento climatico, spostando la linea di confine della nostra esistenza...
... passando necessariamente attraverso il nostro cuore.

Sustainability is ... crossing the border line

The boundary line...
... the one of the advancing desert, that people in Africa and China contrast by planting trees to gain liveable and cultivable spaces for populations;
... the one of our inner limits, our difficulty in changing our lifestyle, attached to habits that are harmful to us and to the environment;
... the one of the geographical and political limit behind which we cling, without realizing that the border is nonsense, it's not real, it's only a line drawn on paper by a society in involution, and if we are not ready to get out of it, to overcoming it, crossing it and making it cross by others, breaking down our borders, we are destined to disappear in the black hole that we are creating around us.
Scientific studies show that by planting trees, millions of trees, the effects of climate change can be countered by moving the boundary line of our existence...... necessarily passing through our heart.
