Country House in Saguramo | KOM Hive

Two friends that have been sharing their lives, happiness, sadness, adventures and passions with each other for decades decided to share a dream country side as well and build two individual houses on one plot specifically designed around their strong individual characters while still harmoniously complementing each other.

Surrounded by peaceful neighborhood and raw landscapes the area is only 40 minutes away from the noisy capital. Houses were designed to be a place of leisure, tranquility and getaway from a busy city life for owners, their families and guests.

We had a chance to work on the interior of the houses, façade cladding, pergolas and the garden. Our goal was to maintain a dialogue between traditional elements as well as contemporary design with all comforts of modern living.

Special attention was given to the movement of natural light in between the rooms to retain the spaces bright and inviting. The ceilings are distinguished by exposed beams. Sustainable materials such as wood were chosen for cladding of the walls both for the exterior and interior. Wooden and stone floors are also mixed in the rooms, terrace and access path.

Both houses have open kitchens engaging with vibrant dining room and cozy living rooms. The ground floor spaces have been designed to be continuous with the external areas for access during warmer weather to the courtyard and decked area from the living room. 

Master bedrooms are connected to their privet bathrooms.  Working spaces perfectly reflect the dynamics and aesthetics of each owner’s specific work type. Guest rooms all equipped for a short or long comfortable stay.
