Awaji Factory | OHArchitecture

For After 300 years, The factory was moved for Awaji island in a calculated way.

They decided to add more another one after 3 years.

We thought the way is good to that like it was completed by overflowing of vitality and like it increases is better than calculated an extension.

Based in frame membrane structure used by tent warehouse and so on, this plan choiced truss structure with cross beam rotated truss of 45°.

Because of this, the space can have the jagging form(pleats), be brightness and have nothing pillar in spite of the size is W48m×L27ｍ×H20ｍ.

Also as construction work, the pillars are independent by the pleats and it was enable to be completion within a half year.

In design plan, the inside of jagging form pleats was used as equipment installing space on floor plan and

that came out the characteristic exterior reflected around landscape by using SUS445 as outer wall.

This factory having the pleats filled with vitality can say what embodies the companey's CI of processing SUS.

今後 300 年を見据えて計画的に淡路島に本社を移転した本社工場。その３年後、更に工場を増やすことになった。

計画的な増築というより、生命があふれだして出来上がったような増殖のような建ち方が良いと考えた。

テント倉庫等に使われる骨組膜構造をベースに、トラスを45度振ったクロスビームトラスにすることで、

ギザギザな形状（プリーツ）をもつ、48m×27ｍ×H20ｍの明るい無柱膜空間を実現し、

施工的にも、プリーツにより柱は自立し、半年を切る短工期の竣工を可能にした。

計画的には、平面的にギザギザのプリーツは、内部では設備スペースに、

外部では、SUS445の外壁にすることで、風景を映す特徴的な外観が現れた。

この生命力あふれるプリーツをもつ工場は、SUS加工を行う会社のCIを体現しているといえよう。
