Il locale, prospiciente il corso principale nella zona ottocentesca della città, si presentava come un vano di pianta quadrata della superficie utile di circa mq 65 con accesso principale direttamente dal corso e piccola vetrinetta espositiva nella strada laterale. Il progetto di ristrutturazione ed arredamento del Bar Ruocco propone, quindi, la riqualificazione dello spazio interno nonché la rimodulazione distributiva che ha consentito così una maggiore fruizione degli spazi e l’ampliamento dei settori caffetteria e pasticceria. La nuova pianificazione volumetrica ha dilatato gli ambienti, aprendoli ad una luminosità maggiore, anche grazie all’ampliamento della vetrina prospiciente la strada laterale contro la quale sembra sbattere e spingere il nuovo banco caffetteria che ridona carattere ed identità a questo spazio in precedenza quasi dimenticato. Elemento di spicco del progetto, quindi, è stato il posizionamento del banco principale, visibile da entrambe le aperture esterne, ed il disegno e materiale dello stesso che attraverso un forte accento comunicativo, costituisce il preciso scopo di ottenere la massima attrattiva commerciale e promozionale. Motivo dominante per i banchi è un disegno floreale di sapore classico ma utilizzato in chiave moderna attraverso l’uso di nuovi materiali intarsiati di luce per il banco caffetteria e traforati su fondo in legno di rovere per i banchi cassa e pasticceria. L’ingresso sul corso principale già denota il carattere dell’intervento attraverso l’utilizzo, per la vetrina principale, di lamiere traforate con il motivo floreale esaltato dal contrasto oro-argento dell’acciaio e dell’ottone e sottolineato dalla particolare forma del maniglione che racchiude ed incornicia la piccola vetrinetta espositiva sulla strada. Grande risalto è stato dato alla vista dall’esterno in modo da percepire una veduta d’insieme di forte impatto che racchiudesse come in un quadro tutti gli elementi del progetto. Il sistema espositivo è affidato ad un particolare sistema di mensole in legno di rovere e vetro che come un filo ricuce e collega perimetralmente tutto l’intervento. L'accostamento del bianco candido dei banchi e delle pareti, con l'arredamento in legno di rovere e l'oro del pavimento e dei lampadari in vetro di murano accompagnato da uno studio attento del dettaglio fanno di questo spazio un ambiente accogliente e raffinato.

The space, overlooking the main street of the city of the XVIII century, is a square space with a floor area of approximately 65 square meters with access directly from the main street and a small showcase on the side street. The renovation design project of the Bar Ruocco proposes the redevelopment and the redistribution of the interior space, this allowed a greater use of the spaces and the expansion of the coffee shop and bakery sectors. The new schedule volumetric expanded the environments, opening them to a higher brightness. Moreover, the extension of the showcase facing the side street, against which seems to beat and push the new bench cafè, gives character and identity to this space previously almost forgotten. Therefore, the main element of the project was the positioning of the main desk, visible from both external openings, and the design and material of the same which through a strong emphasis of communication has the effect of getting the maximum commercial and promotional appeal. Dominant motive for banks is a floral design with classic flavor but used in a modern key through the use of new materials: inlays of light for the coffee bench and pierced on wooden oak for cash and pastries benches. The entrance on the main street already denotes the feature of the operation through the use of perforated plates with floral design, in the main showcase, enhanced by the contrast gold-silver steel and brass and underlined by the particular shape of the handle that encompasses and surrounds the little showcase on the road. Great attention has been given to the view from the outside in order to perceive an overview of impact as a framework to enclose all elements of the project. The display system is entrusted to a system of shelves in oak and glass that sews like a thread connecting the perimeter and the whole operation. The careful attention to the details, the combination of the bright white of the banks and walls, with the oak wooden furniture and the golden floors as well as the chandeliers in Murano glass make this space a warm and refined ambience.
