Overall presentation of the concept

The house fits seamlessly in to its environment. The Chiberta forest boasts of pines, sand, is protected by the dunes and the beach is only a few meters away. We completely transformed and re-composed the recently built house and built a swimming pool.

Presentation and details of architectural construction

As mentioned above, the original infrastructure of the house was contemporary with white masonry cubes and large openings. The buyers wished to entirely modify the feeling of the house in order to further insert it into its environment and to give it more of a cozy holiday home feel. They wanted to reproportion the rooms, review the quality of materials and the overall distribution of the spaces. We worked with a dark wood for the exterior of the extensions which was paired to the existing black dense ceramic paneling on the masonry parts. We built a large garage in lacquered, perforated and corrugated iron creating a first screen between the main house and the street. A path was created which allows to progressively ‘discover’ the house. Significant work on the landscape was carried out blending local vegetation and graphic elements.

The house was already built, we had to adapt to its foundations and specificities.
