Helio Smart Shelter | Aldona Kret
fully energy autonomous bus stop Poland / 2018
The Helio Smart Shelter is fully energy autonomous through LSC cells, installed in the roof and on the windows. These solutions produce the energy that powers the E-ink devices that display passenger information. The focus here is on the needs of all public transport users.
The Helio Smart Shelter is intended to fit in with the needs of people travelling on public transport every day to feel safe and informed. This is why it is equipped with important features such as the ability to summon assistance, surveillance cameras, an easy-to-use smartphone charger and a wi-fi communication module. Above all, it is intended to be a fully environmentally friendly project.
The form of the bus stop is intended to fit in with cities that are architecturally modern, as well as those with old tenement houses or block housing estates.
For a better visual and practical effect, the edge of the bus stop is lit using LSC technology. This increases the energy efficiency of the photovoltaic panels by up to 15 per cent.
The design is expected to have many variants tailored to the needs of the client in the future. Five versions of the product will be offered as standard, with a variety of options to choose from.
The first city in the world with a prototype Helio Smart Shelter is Katowice.
