Casa PC 27 y 63 Cancún, Quintana Roo / Mexico / 2020
On two different lots in Puerto Cancun, one of the largest real estate developments in Cancun, we designed two single-family homes for equal investment purposes, which we mirrored, to take advantage of the characteristics of both locations. The project was distributed in 3 levels on a 159 m2 plot, giving a total of 242 m2 built respecting the standards set by the Laguna 1 subdivision.
The public areas were located on the ground floor. A generous living room and dining room connected to the kitchen, which in turn also communicates with the rear terrace, the barbecue area and the pool. It has parking for two cars.
The bedrooms were distributed on the upper floor, two with a full bathroom and closet and the main one with a full bathroom, dressing room, and terrace. On the roof level there is a TV room connected to a terrace, as well as the laundry room and the utility room.
Following the guidelines established in the subdivision design regulations, flattened, cement-sand predominate on the facades and the coatings will be natural stone or porcelain, in neutral gray and sand tones. The exterior floors in front will be made of black cement pavers, while that of the backyard, as well as the terraces on the first and second levels, will be made of gray porcelain.
For the interiors, a flattened cement-sand mixture was defined, painted white for the walls, Veracruz travertine marble format 30 cm for free widths on the floors and the ceiling lights will be made of flattened plaster or drywall, depending on the area where they are located, painted in color white.
The exterior gates will be made of dark gray European profiles, with 6mm clear glass. The railings on terraces will be made of 9 mm bone-hard tempered glass. The general carpentry in doors, closets, dressing rooms, and bathroom furniture will be drum with natural walnut veneer. A pergola on the roof terrace, made up of metallic profiles with dark gray automotive lacquer, will be the main ironwork element. The kitchen will have a dark gray porcelain tile floor, with 19 mm MDF high and low cabinets with white PVC. The work surfaces and the island will be made of 2 cm absolute black granite slabs.
