Los Angeles based Studio PCH presents its project titled “Soulscapes” at the European Cultural Centre (ECC), as part of the sixth edition of its extensive biennial architecture exhibition titled Time Space Existence, during the Venice 2023 Architecture Biennial. The group show runs from the 20th of May until the 26th of November, 2023, at Palazzo Bembo, Palazzo Mora and the Marinaressa Gardens, in the heart of Venice, Italy.

Studio PCH has been exploring a new philosophy of design, curating an experience that would enhance every single one of the senses to create unforgettable experiences. In this project concept, architects have imagined a new sensual landscape, from the interplay of lighting and textures to the subtle use of scents and sounds. Through the stimulation of physiological responses in the observer, Studio PCH showcases the limitless possibilities of multi-sensory architecture and its potential power in the universe of wellness and healing. It is the dawn of a new world, the birth of the field of psychedelic design, where sensory elements are used to create transformative experiences that inspire creativity and introspection.

“Soulscapes” emphasizes the integral relationship between physical, emotional, and mental wellness. By peeling back the Earth's surface, creating a safe space close to the core of the Mother planet, Studio PCH imagines an integrated space that fosters an inner sense of calm and safety.

The structure's use of natural materials and its reflective pool center the conversation around the concept of holistic health and well-being. It's a space for individuals to experience therapeutic benefits while being surrounded by a nurturing and connected environment. The building's design embraces a user-centric approach, creating an atmosphere that encourages both emotional and mental wellness.
