Serai One

Serai is a group of architects and engineers who have a deep passion for exploring novel methods of merging design and artificial intelligence. Their focus lies in creating future-oriented living spaces. Serai strives to explore the beauty of details, the tactile quality of materials, and the intimacy of forms in small living spaces. To them, technology is not merely a quick solution, but rather a profound dialogue with the essence of our era and a catalyst for a more humane architecture.

Serai One, the team's flagship product, integrates Nordic design principles with pragmatic solutions in a 24 m2 area, centering around minimalism, simplicity, and adaptability. This living space, delivered in a ready-to-use state, includes a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living area, and workspace. With foldable furniture and intelligently designed storage areas, each square centimeter has been meticulously planned to optimize utility. The exclusive Serai home automation system, seamlessly incorporated into the living space using cutting-edge technology, enhances sustainability and user-friendliness.

The frame of Serai One is constructed using galvanized Light Gauge Steel. The interior design, fashioned from natural materials free from formaldehyde, harmonizes with the Thermowood exterior cladding. The entire structure is effectively sealed with thermal insulation and waterproofing, augmenting the adaptability of this Nordic-designed edifice to harsh climatic conditions and minimizing energy consumption. 

One of the noteworthy design features is the 9m2 window, positioned at a short facade. This window and others are equipped with Smart Film technology, enabling privacy and the creation of a dim environment as desired. Serai One aims to offer full-time comfort with its fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and strategically placed storage areas. The structure is transported fully assembled and installed on the ground using its steel metal construction. The space below the house allows for ground-up ventilation, promoting thermal balance while reducing environmental impact. Establishing connections to the electricity and water infrastructure is the sole requirement to start living.

The interior design prominently showcases foldable furniture solutions that optimize space utilization. A foldable working desk, positioned adjacent to the corner window, can be closed when necessary. Similarly, a Murphy bed (140cm x 190cm) and a foldable dining table provide users flexibility. By incorporating natural wood and warm materials, Serai One's interior aims to evoke an elegant atmosphere. 

Serai One perceives walls and ceilings not as mere dividers, but rather as hosts for sensors and devices that form a self-functioning smart system. The living space is delivered with a basic home automation setup that can be remotely updated. Homeowners can easily integrate advanced Predictive Artificial Intelligence technology with supplementary software when desired. This AI technology analyzes user preferences and habits to offer personalized recommendations. Supported by sensors and other smart devices integrated into the living space, this system can continue to gather and process data even in the absence of users. The collected data is securely stored within the home. Serai is designed to be dynamic, adaptive, responsive, and an intimate companion in the minutiae of daily life.
