The reason for the expansion of the office space was both the need for capacity and the long-term unused space (originally intended for co-working). We created two meeting rooms, one office and a studio. The spaces are connected by a central open space, where different functions like lounge zone, co-work, meeting space and kitchen with bar seating are present. The space is complemented by greenery, which balances and supplements the industrial design of the building. The greenery screen separates the co-work from the lounge zone, the greenery in the boxes defines the other zones in the space. The design of the bar table is based on the DNA of the company - whose steel bars as a building material is the embodiment of their focus. The materiality of the elements is authentic – for example, the legs from steel bars are in a corroded form, the screen is made of raw steel, the blue bay color is based on the color of the preserved plates on the walls. The hard materials of the building are complemented by natural ones: plywood, solid wood, textile surfaces. Each meeting room has its own specific atmosphere – the first one is entered through the original granary, where a blue bay is created as a forecourt to the meeting room. The second meeting room is more representative boardroom.
