The design’s starting point was the genius loci of the former garages and the Sokolovna sports hall next-door. The Corten steel entry forms a striking contrast to the grey, brushed plaster finish. This outdoor and cycling company’s premises tie in to the surroundings via the materials used: concrete, plywood, (perforated)metal. The subtle colour palette is complemented by deep accents in the form of sofas or armchairs: the furniture’s colours and textures bring a cosiness to the employee facilities. In contrast to this, the showroom’s visual elements have been reduced so that the bikes’ distinctive designs stand out. This dynamic interconnectedness of the whole is a restrained expression of the company’s soul: the joy of movement and pushing the limits.
