Arteum

Terenzi Srl in 2016 realizes the original project of the designers Maurizio Galante & Tal Lancman conceived for the Arteum library/boutique of the Carnavalet Museum. Ad hoc furniture and furnishings are therefore created and a spectacular ceiling installation that stages "the Sky of Paris", an installation of thin gilded, copper and silver metal strips, laser cut which represents the city crossed by the Seine, with its historic buildings, Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe.

A motionless Paris, suspended in time and space: the most loved and visited city in the world, the Ville Lumiere. We are in the Arteum space, a bookshop/boutique at the Carnavalet Museum of the city, one of the best known and most renowned with its collections dating back to the modern age with furniture, objects and reconstructions dating back to the Louis XIV, Louis XV styles but also hints at Bastille, at the time of the Second Empire or the more recent and well-known writer Marcel Proust. A symbolic place of the city located in the heart of the Marais district, where the Parisian nobility began to operate urban planning in the 16th and 17th centuries.

9,500 metal "sheets" fall from the ceiling which together reproduce and pay homage to the symbolic buildings of the city, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame. Gilded on a silver background, they face upside down on both sides of the Seine, represented by small copper-colored blades. All around other "flakes" of silver metal cover what remains of the ceiling of Arteum. The gaze then descends on the walls and lingers on their geometric symmetry. Each space is organized to collect books and objects in a rational way. On the walls, QBò Caoscreo modular bookcase by Maurizio Galante, Tal Lancman and Luca Terenzi and two large technical tables made ad hoc and in identical colors emerge discreetly, painted in light ivory.

All the metal parts made for this project were obtained from combined cycle laser/punching, shearing and press-bending technology, which made the multiplicity of creations possible. The environmental impact is minimal, the different metals used guarantee recyclability and eco-sustainability thanks to their intrinsic characteristics.

To recall the successful development of the bookcase, Terenzi Srl was asked to create a reception counter made entirely of QBò modules, which were arranged leaving only one side open to the inside, to create a containment area. Even the top was obtained by covering a layer of mdf in painted steel, in order to obtain a mono-material table.

From an aesthetic point of view, everything was achieved through the aforementioned light ivory color since this color characterizes the architectural history of Parisian buildings: the chromatic and stylistic study was carried out by Tal Lancman.

Terenzi Srl nel 2016 realizza l’originale progetto dei designer Maurizio Galante & Tal Lancman ideato per la biblioteca/boutique Arteum del Museo Carnavalet. Vengono dunque realizzati mobili e arredi ad hoc e una spettacolare installazione a soffitto che mette in scena “il cielo di Parigi”, un'installazione di sottili strisce di metallo dorate, ramate e argentate, tagliate a laser che rappresenta la città attraversata dalla Senna, con i suoi edifici storici, Notre-Dame, la Torre Eiffel, l’Arco di Trionfo.

Una Parigi immobile, sospesa nel tempo e nello spazio: la più amata e vistata città del mondo, la Ville Lumiere. Ci troviamo nello spazio Arteum, una libreria/boutique presso il Museo Carnavalet della città, uno dei più noti e rinomati con le sue collezioni risalenti all’età moderna con mobili, oggetti e ricostruzioni risalenti agli stili Luigi XIV, Luigi XV ma anche accenni alla Bastiglia, all’età del Secondo Impero o al più recente e noto scrittore Marcel Proust. Un luogo simbolico della città situato nel cuore del quartiere Marais, dove la nobiltà parigina comincio a operare urbanisticamente nel ’500-‘600.

Dal soffitto ricadono 9.500 “foglietti” di metallo che nell’insieme riproducono e rendono omaggio a quelli che sono gli edifici simbolo della città, Tour Eiffel, Arco di Trionfo e Notre Dame. Dorati su fondo argento, si affacciano a testa in giù al di qua e al di là della Senna, rappresentata da lamelline color rame. Tutto attorno altre “scaglie” di metallo argentato ricoprono quel che resta del soffitto di Arteum.  Lo sguardo poi scende sui muri e si sofferma sulla loro geometrica simmetria. Ogni spazio è organizzato per raccogliere in modo razionale libri e oggetti. Alle pareti emergono in modo discreto, verniciato in light ivory, QBò libreria modulare Caoscreo di Maurizio Galante, Tal Lancman e Luca Terenzi e due grandi tavoli tecnici realizzati ad hoc e di identica cromia.

Tutte le parti in metallo realizzate per questo progetto sono state ricavate da tecnologia laser/punzonatura a ciclo combinato, tranciatura e presso piegatura, che hanno reso possibile la molteplicità delle creazioni. L’impatto ambientale è minimo, i diversi metalli impiegati garantiscono riciclabilità ed ecosostenibilità proprio grazie alle loro intrinseche caratteristiche. 

Per richiamare lo sviluppo ben riuscito della libreria è stato chiesto a Terenzi Srl di creare un bancone reception composto interamente da moduli QBò, che sono stati sistemati lasciando solo un lato aperto verso l’interno, per creare una zona di contenimento. Anche il piano è stato ottenuto rivestendo in acciaio verniciato uno strato di mdf, in modo da ottenere un tavolo monomaterico.

Da un punto di vista estetico il tutto è stato realizzato attraverso il sopracitato colore light ivory poiché questa tinta caratterizza la storia architettonica degli edifici parigini: lo studio cromatico e stilistico è stato curato da Tal Lancman.
