A typical suburban red brick house with hipped-roof has been completely re-designed to accommodate more bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas, plus new outdoor entertaining areas.
The existing three bedroom L-shaped house, is located on a sloped site in Heidelberg that has prominent views to the north. A new wing was introduced to complete the ‘square’ shape of the floor plan as a result. Bedrooms were located along one side of the house and new living areas were located along the other. The two wings are divided by a central entry area with a large feature skylights, that accentuate new alternating pitched roof forms.
A proposed swimming pool is located off a new outdoor deck areas, that step down to follow the slope of the site, minimising impact on the existing landscaped surrounds.
