A new rooftop bar was proposed over an existing established restaurant in the suburbs.

The aim of this project was to double an existing restaurant’s floor capacity, by introducing a new rooftop deck over an existing roofline. The corner aspect of the site would allow patrons the opportunity for having an aperitivo in the open, while enjoying unobstructed views of the city and Dandenong hills beyond.

The restaurant’s existing mediterranean-inspired aesthetic was to be enhanced by the inclusion on proposed terracotta and mosaic tiled elements, plus the use of rustic, earthy colours and finishes. A proposed new stair enclosure would act as a vast skylight to draw sunlight to dining areas below.
