The "CA' NOVA" project concerns the redevelopment of a rural village, organized into three architectural artifacts, and its transformation into a residential-accommodation complex. The intervention is located in the green hills between Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany surrounded by woods and vegetation as far as the eye can see. The stone portions of the facades have a peculiar technological characteristic: their composition is given by the combination of adjustable sunshades. Technologically, the designed casing allows to obtain performance in terms of energy consumption of less than 30 KWh/m2 per year of primary energy and has been built following the dictates of the CasaClima NATURE sustainability protocol. In support of the energy needs of the house, a system of photovoltaic panels is integrated into the roof, which increases its self-sufficiency and that of the entire village.
