Texas Hearing Institute

[ENG] - Since 1947, the Texas Hearing Institute has been the most comprehensive pediatric hearing loss organization in Texas. It is the only facility in the "Lone Star State" that combines health services, spoken language education activities for children with hearing loss and support services for parents and guardians. Most importantly, every young person up to the age of 21 is welcomed at the Texas Hearing Institute, regardless of their family’s ability to pay for treatment. This is one of the reasons why the institute staff expects the number of its guests will double in the next 5 years.

The new Texas Hearing Institute headquarters was inaugurated in 2020 in Houston. Welcoming patients from over 44 counties on a daily basis, the building was conceived by Inventure Design studio on a total area of ​​over 3,800 sqm. The architectural language of the interiors gives life to an elegant natural atmosphere: in fact, there is no lack of large windows, ample spaces, furnishing elements and typical games reminiscent of forest fauna and flora.

In order to give the façade a modern, bright and welcoming style (following the style of the institute), the designers chose the unique features of WoodN Industries Q20410 wall cladding in the colors Sahara and Myanmar, featuring a brushed finish.

[ITA] - Dal 1947, il Texas Hearing Institute è il più grande polo sanitario per la sordità pediatrica in Texas. Si tratta dell’unica struttura dello “Stato della stella solitaria” che unisce percorsi sanitari, attività di educazione al linguaggio orale per ragazzi non udenti e servizi di supporto a genitori e tutori. Ma, soprattutto, ogni giovane fino ai 21 anni viene accolto al Texas Hearing Institute, anche se la famiglia non è in grado di pagare le spese per le cure. Ed è anche per questo motivo che, nei prossimi 5 anni, lo staff dell’istituto prevede un raddoppio nel numero dei suoi ospiti.

La nuova sede centrale del Texas Hearing Institute è stata inaugurata nel 2020 a Houston. In grado di accogliere quotidianamente pazienti da oltre 44 contee, l’edificio è stato confezionato dallo studio Inventure Design su un’area complessiva di oltre 3.800 m2. Internamente, il linguaggio architettonico dà vita a un’elegante atmosfera naturale: non mancano infatti ampie vetrate, spazi generosi, elementi d’arredo e giochi tipici che richiamano la fauna e la flora forestale.

Per regalare alla facciata uno stile moderno, luminoso e accogliente (assecondando lo stile dell’istituto) i progettisti hanno scelto le qualità uniche dei rivestimenti Q20410 di WoodN Industries in tonalità Sahara e Myanmar, finitura spazzolata.

I rivestimenti WoodN Industries sono in materiale composito, 100% riciclabile all’interno del nostro ciclo produttivo e derivante da sfrido di legno selezionato certificato FSC.[SS1]
