Two bedroom apartment with a fire-place | Anastasia Kholoptseva

Initially apartment was quite spacious, the height was 3 meters, which allowed to create a light and airy space. Clients – a couple with two adult sons, younger – a student – is living with the parents. There was a decision to give bigger bedroom to the son. Smaller one became parents' bedroom. As mother is working remotely, we needed to incorporate her working place into a small space of the room. That’s part of the windowsill was used as a desktop.

Family is fond of art, ballet, reading a lot. We needed to plan enough bookshelves. Also, there was a request for using art and decorative techniques.

Wall painting in grisaille technique became the main decoration of the living room. The idea was to make it like a background, not attracting too much attention, but being a good companion to the fire-place. Floristic theme was chosen to remind historical classical wall paintings.

The most unusual piece of interior is stove with a biofireplace with the real fire.

Finalу the project turned out to be harmonious, which inspired not only designers’ team but all inhabitants of the apartment.
