The interior design studio Strada interiors has been in charge of the complete transformation of a 137 m2 premises in Tarragona into a dental clinic. This innovative space presents an interior design with an enveloping aesthetic with an interior design that generates positive emotions, a place that conveys serenity and professionalism. Thanks to a palette of white colors and a studied treatment of light, both natural and artificial, the patient perceives a relaxing environment from the first moment, which generates the necessary confidence to put himself in the hands of his experts in oral health and aesthetics.

The wooden lattices as protagonists in the waiting area

The entire dental clinic has been conceived as a dynamic space, in which the wooden lattices are the protagonists. These serve both to delimit spaces and to create intimate atmospheres where the patient feels protected. The conventionality of plaster walls is avoided to enhance the beauty of the contrasts of wood and enhance the forms of interior architecture. The grid plays a key role in the interior partitioning, in the ceilings and in the furniture and lighting elements.

A central space forms the entrance and the waiting room, where custom furniture, ceilings and cladding adapt to the straight lines. The warm tones and the texture of the wood generate a comfortable space prior to the medical area, more technical and rational.

In the reception area, the counter and the biophilia are integrated into the set of volumes that we find between the interior architecture and the furniture design, the plants appear to convey serenity, the vinyls in corporate tones cover the walls of the waiting area and show the values ​​of the brand, in such a way that the entire space enjoys great visual harmony.

On the other hand, in the waiting area, the welcoming atmosphere has been enhanced to convey the necessary tranquility to the patient, generating an almost secluded atmosphere, thanks to benches that are integrated into the wooden coverings. In order to create different micro-atmospheres for waiting, a children's area has also been set up, delimited by wooden slats where the meeting room can be glimpsed through a glass window.

Neatness and functionality in the clinical area

In the clinical area, functionality and the neatness necessary for day-to-day work have been prioritized. White is the undisputed protagonist. The lighting of the corridor ditch leads us to each of the different boxes.

The entire floor of the dental clinic is resolved by a wooden laminate flooring. Chosen to create visual comfort and a feeling of warmth, in line with the rest of the furniture that we find, the corporate turquoise color of the clinic creates a perfect contrast with the palette of tones used in the coatings, furniture, and textiles.

A bespoke project from start to finish

Previously occupied by an old dance academy, the interior architecture project carried out by Strada interiors for IB Clínica Dental in Tarragona has covered the entire process from start to finish, from the complete demolition for the redistribution of spaces to the lighting details.

Its design, in which the contrasts and the play of light and shadow of the wood is the protagonist, the result of a careful work of custom interior architecture, which has managed to capture the needs of both the patients and the medical professionals who They inhabit it day by day. A careful interior design that generates positive emotions, where the patient feels protected and with the necessary confidence to be cared for by dental experts.

Thanks to indirect overhead lighting using LEDs, the hollow ceiling with straight lines softens the shapes and contributes to generating a greater feeling of spaciousness. For its part, the white curtain filters the natural light and emphasizes the intimate atmosphere.
