This project for a nursery school is part of the redevelopment complex of the Ponci Park area in Venezia – Mestre.
The lot is rectangular. The southeast part is reserved for a triangular-shaped public park.
The project idea was born from the AULA unit, which had to be as suitable as possible for the world of childhood, and it is for this reason that has been chosen to use the elementary form of the five-line house, which the children themselves use to represent their concept of “home”.
The designed school is a place of continuity with the domestic space, simple and welcoming, but at the same time protective, as evidenced by the internal cloister dedicated to outdoor activities, closed by the glass corridors of the school from prying eyes.
The layout of the spaces is symmetrical and has six classrooms dedicated to learning, with relative rooms for the toilets and the daily rest of the children. The school also has a space for the gymnasium and one for the canteen.
