The apartment in Vinohrady designed for a young family was created by combining two flats. The whole layout has thus been completely modified, and from the original elements, only the windows have been preserved. Original parquets were used for the floor, we only increased their size and paid special attention to the atypical composition. In addition to the hallway and the bathrooms, wood is used on the entire surface in the apartment.

In the entrance hall, we used a concrete screed with a gold line, which makes it more appealing and corresponds more closely to an old Prague apartment. The grey screed is then complemented by a wooden built-in cabinet with atypically profiled doors. Because of this form, the joints between the doors have disappeared and the cabinet thus works as a wall facing. Even though the ceiling in the entrance hall has been significantly lowered due to technology, we used black painting on it. This way, we wanted to achieve a more interesting effect when entering the main living space from the hall, which thus looks brighter and more spacious. On the contrary, the hall has become even more cosy.

Both the walls and the ceiling in the main living area are covered with a fine screed with a structure similar to old plaster. Everything is then complemented by cavettos which create discreet and interesting elements on the walls. A big part of this space is occupied by the kitchen, the most important element for the client. Since he loves to cook, it is fully equipped with all appliances and a sufficiently large work surface. The stainless-steel part of the kitchen changes into an aluminium door on the island and into the stone part. The tall kitchen cabinets are inserted in a niche and their doors change into a wall facing, which connects to the facing in the entrance hall. The niche for small appliances with additional work surface can be closed, making the whole part of the kitchen compact. The kitchen thus forms a dark grey box in which we can find the toilet and the door to the dressing room. These come in the same form as the replicas of the original doors to the other rooms.

Since the client is a passionate cook, another requirement was a big table for 10 people. It was chosen from a single piece of wood, and we picked oak which was then stained. The base is atypical in design and made of rough steel.

The dressing room is equipped with an open storage system, a mirror chest of drawers and several other mirror elements. One is a rotating round gold mirror in space and the other is a large steel mirror. It rests on a wall that is lined with steel plates, which are also used as a facing behind the bed. Adjacent to the dressing room and bedroom is a bathroom, separated only by glass. It is provided with a foil with an ombre effect to prevent transparency, but at the same time, it is optically connected to the surrounding rooms.

Part of the ceiling, which needed to be lowered due to technology and lintel, was covered with ceramic tiles and highlighted by LED strips. The originally unwanted block has thus become an interesting element of the bathroom. The atypical free-standing 2-washbasin made of Corian is again complemented by golden round mirrors. This white element, together with a free-standing bathtub, is a dominant feature in the dark bathroom. It is located in the middle of the room and separated from the shower by grey irregularly shaped glass. All storage space is hidden in a built-in cabinet, equally lined with ceramic tiles. It thus becomes part of the wall and is not disturbing in any way.

The opposite part of the apartment is designed for children. The children's rooms have a private bathroom, decorated in light tones, complemented by a whale-motif wallpaper and stainless-steel faucets in a special pink tint combined with classic stainless steel. We made sure that there, too, enough storage space was provided.

A significant element of the apartment are the internal shutters. We used them with almost all windows, and they serve both as a full shading and as a fine decoration.

Vinohradský byt pro mladou rodinu vznikl spojením dvou bytů. Celá dispozice tedy byla zcela pozměněna a z původních prvků zde zbyla pouze okna. Při výběru podlahy jsme vycházeli z původních parket, pouze jsme zvětšili jejich rozměr a pohráli si s atypickou skladbou. Dřevo je kromě chodby a koupelen na celé ploše bytu.

Ve vstupní hale je použita betonová stěrka, která je ozvláštněna zlatou linkou, aby více korespondovala se starým pražským bytem. Šedou stěrku pak doplňuje dřevěná vestavná skříň s atypicky profilovanými dveřmi. Díky této profilaci zanikají spáry mezi dveřmi a skříň tak působí jako obklad stěny. I když je strop ve vstupní hale kvůli technologiím hodně snížený, použili jsme na něj černou výmalbu. Chtěli jsme docílit zajímavějšího efektu při vstupu z haly do hlavního obytného prostoru, který tak působí mnohem větší a světlejší. Naopak hala se tím ještě více zútulnila.

Stěny i strop jsou v hlavní obytné části pokryty jemnou stěrkou, která je strukturou podobná staré omítce. Vše je pak doplněno ještě o fabiony, které tvoří nenápadné zajímavé prvky na stěnách. Velkou část tohoto prostoru zabírá kuchyně, která byla pro klienta nejdůležitějším prvkem. Protože velice rád vaří, je plně vybavena veškerými spotřebiči a dostatečně velkou pracovní plochou. Nerezová část kuchyně přechází na ostrůvku v hliníková dvířka a část kamennou. Vysoké kuchyňské skříně jsou pak vloženy v nice a jejich dvířka přecházejí v obklad stěny, který navazuje na obklad ve vstupní hale. Nika na drobné spotřebiče s další pracovní plochou se dá zavřít a celá tato část kuchyně je pak kompaktní a tvoří tmavě šedivý box, ve kterém je pak umístěna i toaleta a dveře do šatny. Ty jsou ve stejné profilaci, jako repliky původních dveří do dalších pokojů.

Protože klient rád vaří, dalším jeho požadavkem byl velký stůl pro 10 lidí. Ten jsme zvolili z jednoho kusu dřeva. Vybrali jsme dub, který se dále namořil do tmavší barvy. Podnož je opět atypicky řešená, a i zde jsme zvolili hrubou ocel.

Šatna je vybavena otevřeným úložným systémem, zrcadlovou komodou a několika dalšími zrcadlovými prvky. Jedním z nich jsou otočná kulatá zlatá zrcadla v prostoru a druhým velké ocelové zrcadlo. To je opřeno o stěnu, která je obložena ocelovými pláty, které jsou použity i jako obklad za postelí. S šatnou a ložnicí sousedí koupelna, která je oddělena pouze sklem. To je opatřeno folií s ombré efektem, aby do ní nebylo vidět, ale zároveň byla opticky spojena s okolními místnostmi.

Část stropu, která musela být kvůli technologiím a překladu dost snížena, jsme obložili keramickou dlažbou, a ještě podtrhli LED pásky. Původně nechtěný blok se tak stal zajímavým prvkem koupelny. Atypické volně stojící 2umyvadlo vyrobené z Corianu je doplněno opět o zlatá kulatá zrcadla. V tmavé koupelně je pak tento bílý prvek společně s volně stojící vanou, velkou dominantou. Ta je umístěna uprostřed místnosti a od sprchového koutu oddělena šedým sklem nepravidelného tvaru. Veškeré úložné prostory jsou pak skryté ve vestavné skříni obložené také keramickým obkladem. Ta se tak stává součástí stěny a nijak neruší.

Opačná část bytu je pak určena dětem. Dětské pokoje mají u sebe vlastní koupelnou, která je laděna do světlých tonů, doplněna tapetou s motivem velryby a nerez bateriemi ve zvláštním růžovém nádechu v kombinaci s klasickou nerezí. I zde jsme dbali na dostatek úložných prostor.

Výrazným prvkem bytu jsou vnitřní okenice, které jsme použili kromě téměř u všech oken a slouží jako plnohodnotné zastínění i jako jemná dekorace.
