The myths about the color black are like fake news - they roam the information space carrying a small dose of truth in themselves and set the audience to expect something that will not happen.

The truth is that black absorbs all frequencies of light flux or more precisely absorbs all colors, which makes it ideal for the background of any color picture in front of him. By putting black in the focus of events, we can be sure that it will never cheat us by slightly changing its shade on the wall from what we have long chosen and considered.

Now we present you an apartment that skillfully defends this thesis. The apartment is located in the Sofia complex Flora Park, with an area of 120 sq/m, which has a spacious living room, bedroom, children's room, guest room and two bathrooms. Like most of our projects, here we have an extremely orderly distribution of space, clearly separating the living room from the night area of the apartment. At the entrance there is a small corridor with comfortable storage area, that directs the visitor first to itself, then to the living room.

The living room itself combines a spacious kitchen with a kitchen island, dining table, L-shaped sofa and bookcase with fireplace. Аll these functions of the home are arranged according to the natural order in which they are used, namely food preparation, consumption and finally relaxation and well-deserved rest in front of the fireplace.

Looking in detail at this part of the apartment, we start with the leading element in the project – the black color. The walls of the entrance as well as those symmetrically located at the other end of the room, which again form part of a kind of corridor, are designed in this elegant and unobtrusive color. Viewed from the living room, these two corridors completely disappear as our eyes are engaged with all the other colorful elements and decors and thus, we lose track of where the black walls actually end. The feeling of depth that is given to the whole room is enhanced thanks to the pure white ceiling, which actually outlines the real boundaries of the room.

To enhance the effect of the white canvas that it represents, the built-in lighting is almost imperceptible, choosing extremely innovative fixtures, where the main priority is the emission of light and the body itself remains almost invisible.

The kitchen is a combination of high columns and two rows of cabinets. We have added a kitchen island and glass doors with interior lighting, so the space acquires a finished, luxurious look. The beautiful columns of natural veneer "sink" into the dark wall of the corridor and are more reminiscent of wooden paneling than deep cabinets.

The same technique is used in the upper row of kitchen cabinets, which is "overlaid" by a black wall connecting it to the ceiling and making this part of the kitchen look shallower and literally "carved" in the wall. To enhance the contrast between the wall and cabinets, they are painted in white matte as the collision of these two colors is repeated in the kitchen countertop made of natural stone in iridescent white-gray shades.

Another interesting style line connects the elements in the living room and gives the interior a somehow heavy and modern and at the same time classic look. It is a combination of straight wood intertwined profiles. This relief is most pronounced in the paneling around the library and the fireplace at one end of the living room. Asymmetrical profiles perpendicular to the wall alternates with parallel planes of different widths, so that the whole wall literally moves under them. We see a similar movement on the wall behind the TV, but this time only in a flat surface. Quite impressive is the back of the kitchen island with rectangular wooden profiles and hidden lighting. The last touches of the modern interior with a classic touch are the dark green upholstery of the dining chairs, combined with the soft beige tones of the sofa with bright yellow elements here and there.

The next interesting space in the design is the children's room. The furniture is developed in height thanks to the children's beds on two levels, quite different from the standard bunk bed. In the sloping part of the room there is a desk to collect light from high windows, as well as low cabinets. Where the ceiling allows, the beds are placed one above the other so as not to interfere. There is also a small enclosed hiding space under the sloping ceiling, beloved by every child who wants to leave his most secret things somewhere. The soft tones of the baby blue, white and beige room contribute to the pleasant children's atmosphere of this magical space.

The bedroom is designed in soft, beige shades. The softness is transferred to the flooring - soft and pleasant carpet on the floor, upholstered quilted headboard and textile wallpaper. The bathroom is designed for the chic and cozy room, in which similar tones predominate, but this time in the pinkish range.

This exciting interior shows how one should be brave in his choices, not to worry about stereotypes and prejudices and to know that every decision emphasizes our own nature. The interior as a reflection of our nature is a series of choices for which there are no strict rules. And only thanks to good professionals who can synthesize our desires and turn them into reality, we can enjoy the space - reflection of ourselves.
