Aisthesis
Formal research for a PET bottle Bacoli / Italy / 2019
Aisthesis in ancient Greek means "sensation" and it is this word that provides the direction of this research: to give back different sensorial, evocative and emotional experiences through a bottle.
The design of the two polyethylene terephthalate bottles attempts to link material, production and craftsmanship in digital form. The references used are: the morphologies of glass and terracotta artefacts from ancient Greece, the processing of ground glass and the sculptural techniques of bas-relief in an attempt to convey through PET an emotional and sensory experience made of transparencies, shadows, glitter, sinuous lines and textures.
