RIO SAMBA | DLA design lab
Genoa / Italy / 2015
The aim of the project is to create a restaurant that would become a new point of reference for lovers of foreign cuisine thanks to the staff composed entirely of Brazilian chefs. The restaurant consists of two floors dedicated to different customers and moments of the day: the ground floor works as the entrance with the bar corner designed for lunch and the happy hour, while the room for dinner together with the kitchen, the churrasco corner and other service areas are placed on the lower floor. The dominant colors are the brass of the lamps and the green of the plant coverings. These are complemented by the colors of the flooring in rough wooden planks, the ceiling grille placed as a shield used traditionally as a support for the growth of climbing plants and a wallpaper with an exotic subject.
