About the project:

A young couple contacted us after buying their new apartment in Žitenická street. The apartment has four rooms with a kitchen and it has 131 square metres of the inside area. The equipment of the apartment, such as floors, bathroom and doors – was defined by the couple.

Our task was to furnish each room, apart from the future children´s room. Namely: the living room with the kitchen, the office, the bedroom, two bathrooms, the hall and the closet.

In the beginning, we were struggling to find the ideal layout of the living room with the kitchen. We were worried the most about the layout of the living and dining areas. Finally, the solution of our clients won. They wanted to have the living area by the windows and by the second entrance to the terrace and the dining area closer to the kitchen. 

We did not modify any building work, but we did a great change of the wiring for our future layout of the furniture.

The basic colour range of the new interior was harmonized with the existing form of the apartment. Its base was created of bleached oak and anthracite windows. So, white, anthracite and grey colours are dominant together with oak wood. As contrast colour we chose deeply yellow, which is in the kitchen and on the television wall. It was a wish of our clients. As a rare “jewel”, there is a blue armchair at the dining room. 

We were creating the interior with emphasis on high-quality materials, clear lines and construction unity. The attention is paid to original dominant lights and important details such as solid oak handles on wardrobes, kitchen with no handles or rope construction in the hall, which is used as a gallery of their photos…

We tried to harmonize with the original look of the apartment and to connect the whole interior.

It is necessary to say that this cooperation was very personal, intensive and we solved all elements and products together. They chose some lights alone, we only kept watching on colours harmonizing and right placing.
