Pavé Cycling | héctor coss arquitectos

The objective of Pavé Cycling was to contain two spaces for different use in the same place, on the one hand an existing bicycle shop and on the other, the insertion of a cafe for the cycling community.

In this way, the strategy was to place the cycling cafe in front, on the façade, managing to invite users to the store as well as to the cafeteria who come to train in the morning and come to buy or service in the afternoons. An important part of the conception was to look for an attractive and warm repetition texture that will contrast with the minimalist of the utility furniture of a bicycle shop, this repetition that is interspersed with the lighting and the Racks to hold the bicycles on display manages to extend from the floor to the full height of the double height that presents the small part where the coffee was located and to maximize its impact it was also turned on the ceilings.

Using the available space to the maximum, also within these walls spaces are generated such as the bench or booth to rest and the black granite coffee bar, where both are embedded in front of a smoked mirror that helps to amplify the space.

With Pavé Cycling Café it has been achieved that despite being two different places, each space receives feedback from the other, achieving a contribution that allows the community to make economic mobility.
