The latest location of the famous Kolchuga weapons salon with a wide assortment of high-quality and rare weapons is opening in the shopping complex BARVIKHA Luxury Village. The architects of the Archpoint bureau, responsible for the interior, designed the store with accentuated attention to details, so characteristic for them, creating a functional, minimalistic and carefully thought-out space.

Weapons are a serious and dangerous product, so the architects decorating a salon have to take into account special requirements for such spaces: there must be closed expositions for weapons with a possibility of convenient overview, tables for assembling and disassembling models, and lighting that favorably emphasizes the advantages of the product.

For the salon the architects of the bureau chose modern loft style with masculine character and a calm color scheme. The space is divided into several functional zones: the main retail area with a department for selling clothes and shoes for hunting and tourism, the VIP zone for special clients and the meeting room. The main shopping area is made of monolithic concrete, the doors and grids here are made of welded metal. Materials for wall decoration meet environmental requirements, sanitary, technical and fire safety standards.

The interior of the salon is dominated by a light grey finish: minimalistic walls and ceiling are covered with cement plaster imitating concrete, and the floor is lined with concrete-mosaic terrazzo tiles. The grey color contrasts with the craft finish of the weapon display windows, which are made here in the form of counters and large cabinets with durable glass doors and LED lighting. All the furniture is made-to-order according to individual drawings from MDF panels covered with matt polish. Natural colors soften the brutality of the design.

The lighting here is made in the form of technical track lamps with a dimming function. This light highlights the advantages of weapons and allows clients to carefully examine every detail.

In the clothing and footwear department architects organized space for fitting rooms and a seating area with two upholstered chairs from the Dutch factory Jess Design and anthracite tables from the Baxter factory. The wall above the lounge area is decorated with the brand's logo.

There are two bathrooms in the store – for customers and employees. The bathroom for clients is decorated with large-format ceramic Archskin granite.

In the VIP area the design is more complex: the walls are covered with fluted panels made of Anegeria veneer and the floor is made from wood. The warm illumination from small LED lamps and a large multilevel chandelier from the Dutch company Moooi creates additional comfort. For special guests there is a large sofa and armchairs made of genuine black leather by Jess Design and tables made of glass and metal by Zuiver.

The meeting area is equipped with a large table by the German company Hulsta with a ceramic top, which can be used for demonstrating weapons to customers. Everything here is decorated to match the needs and requests of expensive weapons connoisseurs: natural wood in the decoration of the walls and floor, chairs made of genuine leather, designer lighting from the Belgian company tossB.

Minimalistic, strict, but diluted with warm accents, the design of the salon is perfectly suitable for leisurely, conscious choice of arms. The architects of the Archpoint bureau managed to create an interior that supports the status of the network and stays in harmony with the classic weapon aesthetics.
