ZAMASPORT HEADQUARTER

Built with the principles of slow architecture in mind, the Italian multinational's new headquarters in Novara (Italy) has been designed to be a nearly zero energy building (nZEB), with renewable systems that give it the capacity to generate and consume its own energy.

Italian multinational Zamasport promotes sustainable fashion at its new headquarters in Novara (Italy) featuring the Krion® mineral compact from PORCELANOSA Group. Designed by architecture studio Frigerio Design Group, the 3,700-square metre building features predominantly open structures, blending its textile operations with the exterior greenery and making the building part of the fabric of the local landscape.

Slow architecture in dialogue with nature

Designed to be a passive, nearly zero energy building (nZEB) with renewable systems that give it the capacity to generate and consume its own energy (heating, ventilation and lighting), the facilities follow the principles of slow architecture: promoting a collective experience, unhurried creativity and a love of details. This is true of the main façade featuring a combination of concrete and the KRION® Lux 1100 EAST mineral compact, installed using an anchoring system developed by Butech.

Resembling a vast loom, the façade's curved, overlapping panels in Krion® echo a set of intertwined threads: a clear reference to the high fashion operations within. The solid surface can be thermoformed, is resistant to solar radiation and extreme temperatures, has imperceptible joints, and is non-porous and bacteriostatic. These properties strengthen the union between nature and the human experience, and the transparent design ushers in the light, in dialogue with the surroundings.
