Szeged Swimming Pool | TSPC Group

One of the TSPC Group’s flagship projects is the design of a FINA-compliant sports swimming pool in Szeged.

The new FINA-compliant swimming pool for athletes and students studying in Szeged is a great place swimming or water polo while also providing a modern framework for talend management, professional sports and recreation. The investment includes the construction of a 1,200-person indoor swimming pool, featuring a 50-meter, 10-course FINA-compliant pool; a 25-meter, 6-track warm-up pool; a 20-meter training pool and an outdoor-indoor relaxation pool.

The pool area and the rooftop terrace are divided by a glass wall. When stepping out into the garden one can relax outdoors or access the rooftop terrace.

Due to the function and mass formation of the Szeged Swimming Pool, the design required special attention from the consultants. In particular the oblique walls and the mechanical and electrical systems – which are commonly used in swimming pools – were under control. The BIM 3D model was of great tool for presenting the building to the customer and for refining the needs. Even the most complex forms arose at a co-operation could be represented to everyone in a clear, spatial way.

TSPC specialists were happy to use modern, spatial solutions in parallel to the elegant, clean character. While the facade of the building evolves from a combination of restrained, compact and glass surfaces, the western street front and eastern back garden facade walls are sloped, so does the wall of the racing pool block.
