'Lest We Forget: Structures and Memory in the United Arab Emirates' archives the history of architectural and urban development in the UAE over the past century with a particular focus on the 1970s-1980s, the early days of the founding of the nation and its entrance onto the world stage, a truly dynamic period of innovation, adaptation and experimentation. UAE sit at the crossroad of the East and West, and this crossroad has long been a place where ideas, people and cultures meet.
