Septa is a cozy place in the western part of Moscow on Bolshaya Filevskaya Street, combining a bar and a spacious wine shop with a thousand types of wines for every gourmet taste. The task set for the architects of the Archpoint bureau was to create an intimate place for wine connoisseurs with a pleasant, warm interior, where everyone can feel a part of the community.

According to the idea, which was implemented by the architects, the space is divided into two parts - a wine shop and a bar. The shop resembles a large library with shelves filled with an impressive collection of tomes – wine bottles and a feeling that you can find everything here. The homely atmosphere of the bar creates a sense of unity of guests with each other and with the general idea of the place. The individual style of the architects of the bureau is reflected in the unusual details and exclusive furniture.

The key idea of the place is reflected in everything: the wine colour materials, the furniture made of cork wood, and the central figure of the bar – the ancient Greek god of winemaking. A custom-made neon lamp in the shape of a large Dionysus head adorns one of the walls of the bar and draws the eyes of every guest.

In general, the place is decorated according to the principles of the modern Scandinavian style: minimalistic design with an emphasis on natural materials, a minimum of decor, functional and comfortable furniture. Most of the furniture is made-to-order, the rest is specially brought from Europe.

The first thing a Septa visitor sees is the glass-sided wine room with the tall shelves filled with bottles of all shapes and sizes. All shelves are custom-made from a metal frame, covered with MDF and painted in deep wine colour. The whole picture is complemented by the ceiling of the same colour with open communications, the ceiling is the same in the shop and in the bar. The floor in the wine room is tiled with terrazzo, the lighting is warm and comfortable in the form of LED track lights.

The same design can be seen in the store, but here rows of high shelves stand on the wooden floor. On the shelves there are special rails for the wooden ladder. The focal point of the wine shop is a large made-to-order tasting table. The frame of the table is metal with drawers for wine bottles, and the countertop is hand-made, assembled from terrazzo tiles. There are custom-made backless stools made of cork wood around the table, and above it there are lamps with lampshades made of wood and cork.

Between the shelves there are large panoramic windows about four meters in height decorated with wide wooden window blinds. On the low window sills there are soft cushions where a visitor can sit and taste wine. Custom-made wooden stools in the form of wine cork with the place's logo are also meant for sitting.

The second part of the place is a bar with a full-scale kitchen. Here the guest can not only taste wine, but also have breakfast or lunch, drink coffee or tea. The wine colour of the ceiling in the bar smoothly merges with the walls – they are partly painted with the same paint and partly covered with wooden panels. The floor is made of wood. The main focus here is on the pleasant textures: leather, natural wood, textile, glass, high-quality paint. All materials and colours create the harmonious combination, and the warm lighting adds to it.

The first thing that the guest notices entering the bar is the neon Dionysus, then the eye moves to the next accent – the bar counter made of natural cork and marble. For the counter the architects used expensive Rosso Levanto burgundy marble with white cracks and laid it on the facade of the counter in the shape of a bottle. At the bar there are chairs with burgundy seats matching the interior, above the bar counter – the large round lamp made of cork, and at the background there is a wooden shelf for drinks. Behind the bar is the open kitchen also decorated in wine colour. To the left of the counter is a large wooden cabinet with books, wine, and figurines on the open shelves.

The bar has several seating options: a large table with a massive wooden top, designed for ten people, two smaller tables made of wood on metal legs and several small round tables with a white marble top and a cork insert and metal legs. All tables are made-to-order by Russian manufacturers. For seating there are two large blue sofas along the walls with soft textile upholstery, also made-to-order, leather chairs imported from the Netherlands, and chairs made of cork manufactured in Portugal.

Another accent in the bar is the big polycarbonate lamps ordered in Spain. They fit perfectly into the interior and match the colour of the overall wine theme. Additional lighting is provided by track lights, the light intensity of which can be adjusted.

The interior of sanitary facilities is also worth exploring. It is stylish and minimalistic. On the floor there are terrazzo tiles familiar from the entrance area, the walls are painted in dark grey and partially covered with deep turquoise tiles and wood panels. Wooden doors are made-to-order. Dim lighting comes from the LED lighting of the mirrors and small ceiling lights. The sink cabinet is made-to-order from artificial stone on a metal frame.

Archpoint architects managed to create a place suitable for any purpose – to arrange a wine tasting, to have a leisurely breakfast or to spend the best Friday evening. It seems as though the interior of the place takes care of the guest – you want to touch the wood and marble with your hands, feel the cool texture of the leather chairs and the warmth of the cozy sofas with your body, and examine elegant details with your eyes.
