Yu Qiang & Partners takes the four ancient houses of Wenchang, Song's ancestral home, Xibei Academy and other historical and cultural heritages as the blueprint, and integrates them into the layout of the multi-interior courtyard of the local house architecture, making the work unique and culturally rich.

Wooden eaves, stone and wood carvings, the designer refines the culture, religious elements are dotted in between, and the details hark back to the original social style.

The courtyard, as a major feature of Nanyang architecture, has a strong tropical flavor. We have implanted the traditional courtyard style into the house, brick by brick, step by step, with ancient trees growing quietly between the cracks of the eaves.

The designer took tropical flowers and trees locally and used common large palm family and broad-leaved plants into the design, which best expresses the warm style of Nanyang.
