The New Room architecture project for the hairstylist Pedro Remy is an open space with 200sqm, characterized by the industrial expression of the concrete structural elements, reinforced by furniture pieces specifically designed for the space.
At the entrance level, in the foreground, a longitudinal white and elegant steel sheet reception counter is followed by a recoiled area with two shampoo spots.
In the centre of the room, the cutting and styling private hubs are separated by a long vertical fabric snaking along a rail, creating privacy and setting the circulation areas. In the back of the room, nearly touching the end concrete wall, a white steel staircase takes to a mezzanine with two private areas – a beauty room and a makeup studio - both embraced by white corrugated steel plates reinforcing the vertical sense and the snaking form of the curtain of this experimental space. The New Room is a concept able to transform and to be transformed.
