Dongguan Inmost Mansion Sales Center | YuQiang & Partners

The project is located in Dongguan’s Songshan Lake CBD, and since ancient times, it has been known as Songshan of Mist and Rain. It only 10 minutes away from Huawei’s Terminal R&D Base. YuQiang & Partners have once again created a bold combination of architecture, interior design and landscape planning, playing a fascinating game of light in a white box building.

The architectural concept is to create a box game where light can enter the space. The building is like a half-opened box, with staggered openings on the roof allowing light to penetrate, flooding the interior with sunlight. This forms a charming, dynamic structure.

We translate the abstract structure into stark yet simple geometric forms, before disassembling and displacing them to achieve the most comfortable fit. The interior extended by the architectural form is naturally full of the power and beauty of geometric structure.

In the large area that passes from the entrance to the sand table space, we have tried to constantly break up any sense of ‘boundary’ within. Circular and rectangular outlines are used as the basis for inspiration, and a combination of rotation and tilting triggers an impression of rigid and flexible isomorphism.

Artworks are an embellishment of space. The process of appreciating a piece of art in a specific environment is also one of mutual recognition between the creator and the observer. Tsai&Yoshikawa's sculptures are made up and disassembled by various abstract totems, supplemented by the refraction of light, and interwoven into a flower that lies beyond the confines of reality, unfolding and blossoming in the sky.
