Firstly, the Standard Bank Building in Adderley Street is one of Cape Town’s oldest and most historic buildings. The building has not been in use as a bank for the last couple of years.  As a result, in order to revive the building to meet current requirements, various interior design and landscape proposals were tabled. This included an Art Gallery in the back portion of the building. In addition, this included a rooftop modern structure to accommodate a restaurant. Furthermore, this modernisation would be the third major intervention to the building in its history. We gave the building an interior design with a functional purpose for the foreseeable future.
