The interior design of the kid's room is in the style of Japandi, a direction that combines the Scandinavian interior with the Japanese one. Although these countries are located far away from each other, they have some similarities, namely, their preferences for natural materials, laconicism, and simplicity.
The children's room was divided into two zones. The first zone was dedicated to a sleeping area and the second one was made for studying, sports activities, and creativity.
This decision was highlighted with the help of color. The sleeping area was entirely made by using the gray color - it felt like you were on the shores of the North Sea or in a fisherman’s hut, or a yurt.
The color of wet and dry sand was used for the second area (games, sports, and study). This color was chosen because of its likeness to the rice paper, which in turn is the traditional feature of the Japanese interiors.
